The Lancemore Crossley St is my new favourite Melbourne boutique hotel. I recently stayed here with my husband to celebrate our wedding anniversary (you can read my full Lancemore Crossley St hotel review to see why I rated it 9/10!) and it was the perfect choice for a special weekend away.

It’s located in the “theatre-end” of the CBD, and the hotel has cleverly incorporated theatre-style lighting and dark, velvet drapes in the small but glamorous lobby.

The location means it’s also close to some of the best restaurants in Melbourne. Chinatown is just down the road – but the hotel isn’t right in the heart of Chinatown, so you can avoid all the foot traffic.

Even though you have restaurants, bars, cafés and theatres at your doorstep, the beds may stop you from leaving. Our king-size bed was hands-down the comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in.

There’s a great rooftop terrace and while there’s no on-site restaurant (only breakfast is served), you can order food from nearby restaurants to be delivered direct to your room.
